This vibrant ‘Japan’ coffee can by Coalport is decorated either side with a bird in a tree, in between arrays of stylised flowers, leaves and ferns. The palette is the standard ‘English Imari’ trio of dark blue, iron red and gold, with vertical panels of overgilded buttermilk.
Condition Good. Gilt rubbing on lip edge and couple of spots on top of handle. Enamels in good order.
