This large and handsome Derby porcelain punch jug from around 1760 is finely hand-painted with loose bouquets and sprays of flowers in the style of Meissen deutsche Blumen. The mask-head spout has an tricorn hat, a popular style of 18th Century headwear. The rim of the tricorn forms the lip of the spout.
The jug is unmarked, as with most Derby porcelains from the 1750-80 period.

Condition Very good. One tiny (2mm) flat chip on the lip of the spout, and some firing flaws. A few surface scratches to the painting.
