Period: William IV
Maker: Minton
In this Minton version of the ‘all-over leaf,’ a myriad of tiny gilt leaves is hand-painted on a deep ground of cobalt blue, in between frieze borders of a gilt diamond motif. The pattern closely resembles an earlier design of Spode but here the Minton cups are of bucket shape.
The Minton pattern number, 2415, is painted in small script on the base of one of the saucers.
