This Royal Worcester cabinet plate is exquisitely detailed and in perfect condition. The edges of flowers and leaves in the central painting and border panels are enamelled and gilded in delicate relief. The border has a scalloped rim, is framed by finely moulded acanthus fronds and divided by three pierced lattices. Interspersed are miniature turquoise cabuchons.
The base bears the Royal Worcester printed stamp with the date code (nine dots) for 1900, and a design number (276277) that was registered in 1896.
